John Webster

John Webster was born in 1959 in the Bronx NY. He was raised in an environment that taught him that the world can be a very tough place and there were only two ways to ensure that one could survive: Learn to fight and learn. Period. To that end he worked to put himself through college and law school and upon graduation form Law School in 1984 he took a position with one of the largest law firms in NYC and ultimately became a partner in one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in New England. In 1998, he struck out on his own to devote his practice to criminal law and successfully developed his practice until 2001 when the “feds” came knocking.

He was indicted, convicted (and lost his license) and served 13 months in a federal prison (4 to be exact) and upon release he realized the need for prison and mitigation consultants. Upon release in 2002 he founded National Prison & Sentencing Consultants, and although he doesn’t practice law, he has been involved in countless high profile, national federal cases in the country. His believe is that “Prison should be a last resort, not a first option.” He has put that mantra into practice and works diligently with clients and their counsel on all aspects of federal mitigation and prison assistance.

Mr. Webster has been featured on innumerable national and local television outlets as well as print media and is widely acclaimed as a national prison and sentencing expert. He is compassionate, empathetic and understanding, but he is still a fighter and takes nothing for granted.
